What does the Gmail integration do?
It sends your TradieTally quotes and invoices from your own Gmail address. The customer gets an email from you — not from a generic system address — and when they reply with “Looks good, when can you start?” it lands in your inbox.
Why send from your own address?
Customers trust a name they recognise
A homeowner who’s just met you on site is expecting an email from you. An email from an unfamiliar address is more likely to be ignored or end up in junk. Sending from your own address keeps the conversation where it started.
Replies don’t go missing
Quotes generate questions. “Can you add another downlight in the hallway?” “Is the isolator included?” When those replies come straight back to your Gmail, you see them on your phone between jobs and can update the quote in TradieTally the same day.
It looks like your business
Your quote PDF already carries your branding from the TradieTally template designer. Sending it from your own address finishes the job — the whole thing looks like it came from your business, because it did.
How does it fit with quoting in TradieTally?
You build the quote in TradieTally — line items, labour, materials, your margin — and see the profit before you send it. Then you hit send. The email goes out through Gmail with the PDF attached and a public quote link the customer can open on their phone. When they accept, you convert the quote to a job in one click.
Speed matters here. As TradieTally founder Jayson Conceicao puts it: “I didn’t lose jobs because my work wasn’t good enough. I lost them because my quote turned up three days after someone else’s.” Getting the quote out from your own address, while you’re still on site or in the van, is part of fixing that. What if my business email isn’t on Gmail?
If your email is hosted somewhere else — your web host, Microsoft 365 or another provider — use the SMTP email option instead. It works with any provider that offers SMTP sending.
Is Gmail included on every plan?
Yes. Email sending through Gmail or SMTP is included on every TradieTally plan. See pricing for Solo and Team plans, or start with the 21-day free trial — no credit card required.

Gmail integration FAQs
Will customers see a TradieTally address when I email a quote through Gmail?
No. When Gmail is connected, quotes and invoices go out from your own Gmail or Google Workspace address, so the customer sees your name and replies come to you.
My business email uses my own domain. Should I choose Gmail or SMTP?
If you sign in to your business email through Google, try the Gmail option first. If your email is hosted elsewhere, use the SMTP option. If you're not sure, email support@tradietally.com.au and we'll help you pick.
What should I do with the Gmail connection when the staff member who set it up leaves?
Review which Google account is connected whenever someone leaves. Reconnect Gmail under an account the business controls so quotes keep going out from the right address.
Stop quoting at the kitchen table.
Price every job from your real costs, see the profit before you hit send, and run the whole job from one app. Built by a sparky for electricians, security techs and A/C contractors.
